I've been using Maria's recipe for margaritas. We prepare the correctly-proportioned liquor ahead of time, and then mix the booze with the base. For the base mixer, we've tried limeade, the French sparkling limeade they have at Trader Joe's, and lime-flavor Jarritos Mexican soda. But what we haven't tried yet is using "Mike's Hard Limeade."

It will either be horrific, or a huge hit, or both. Find out next week at ConDor!

Why not just use lime juice? My margarita recipe is 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, and 1 oz of lime juice (ideally freshly squeezed). They're delicious.

So you use a 2 cups of tequila, 1 cup of triple sec and a 1 cup of lime juice. And you'd also want to add 1 cup of water if you weren't shaking to order, so it's properly diluted for drinking. Fresh squeezed juice is best, but if juicing that many limes isn't doable (an electric citrus juicer helps a lot!) then buying bottled stuff would work too and produce something more legitimately called a margarita than any of the other mixers you're using. Which I'm sure produce a passable version of some kind of margarita punch...

I get that this might be workable or cost effective for a room party environment, depending on the volume you're looking at. But I'd suggest adding at least *some* fresh or bottle lime juice to whatever you mix up, because it's only going to make it taste better!
