Speakeasy at Loscon

When Tom Pendergast controlled Kansas City (Missouri), Prohibition was something that happened to other towns. In support of Kansas City's Worldcon ambitions, we are running a speakeasy at Loscon on Saturday night, 2011-11-26. The password is Goats, although if the bouncer is in a good mood other passwords may be accepted. As the proprietor I plan to be dressed the part - bow tie, suspenders, vest, all Boardwalk Empire if you will. Expect to find jazzy music, flappers, food on sticks, and "tea" & "lemonade" served in teacups.

The year is 1924. The name of the place is Pendergast Cafe.

Yes, we'll be hosting the same suite on the party floor. Hopefully this year, no food poisoning! I'll be flying back to school Sunday evening.
