Still a few rough edges, but I've got more photos online, including my 3rd Tulsa trip (March), Gaylaxicon 2004 in San Diego, Darrel's bachelor party (described here on my LJ) and some other outings with friends. You can go to my "2004 Picture Pages" list to see all of the photos I've uploaded from this year's photography. There sure is a lot of work to do when I get home rotating the ones that are oriented wrong! There are basically two ways I collect photos:
- Slurp them directly onto the computer's hard disk, so I know they're safe and my camera's empty again.
- Get them onto the computer, take a look at them, turn the ones that need to be turned, and type in captions. I do this by temporarily renaming the files - example, if the filename when I saved it to my hard disk was tulsa001.jpg, I might rename it to tulsa001_A_penguin_on_the_corner.jpg; the caption info will be stripped back out later, after I upload the photos but before I unveil them.
Work went better today. The backwards-compatible self-reflashing logic works for everything that used to work in our products, so that's a step forward. I'm happy with the baby tseps Kurt and I are taking; I'll finish Practical Crypto on the plane home, and talk to Kurt when I get in. I'm thinking that I want to be on the ground longer than one week this time, so I might return to Tulsa about the 9th of June or so. Since
