hazelchazAll 20,518 pictures in "Hazel's Picture Gallery" have been cataloged in my new database. If you have a favorite picture, you should now be able to type in the picture number and bring up just that photo.
Next step: taking a batch of new photos, and putting their info directly into the database, then generating their display pages from that... Yes, that means I'm finally going to start uploading new content to the Picture Gallery. Not right now, though, I'm going to get some sleep first.

Date: 2004-05-22 09:35 pm (UTC)It's funny how the website has morphed from a place to stash some snapshots, to a resource full of pictures of thousands of fans. I've been lucky that in the last few years I've been able to go to so many conventions in so many different cities, too, which has influenced that particular emergent aspect.
(It's only partially a coincidence that TMI and I wound up in charge of the Fan Gallery Worldcon exhibit. Bruce wouldn't have turned it over to us if I hadn't shown the interest in photography. He also wouldn't turn it over just to me, but when I enlisted TMI to lend his esthetic expertise he agreed. But that's another story.)
