Worldcon question: who from outside North America is going to [livejournal.com profile] inter_action, and would like to play with some ribbons?

I thought it might be interesting to bring some silly ribbons and have other people hand them out. [livejournal.com profile] flickgc, [livejournal.com profile] flyingsauce, [livejournal.com profile] sneerpout and all the rest of you: whaddya say?

I've got a particular style set aside for Lucy Z. and/or Zara B., since it was their idea in the first place, and I was thinking that Alice Lawson might want to hand out the "Sunnydale Visitors Bureau." And I'll drop off "2nd Generation Fan" (3rd, 4th) with [livejournal.com profile] jamesb for his department. But that still leaves a number of others to share. Any UK or european filkers in the audience, for example?

Speaking of sharing, I'm bringing some Kentucky Bourbon Fudge to share. (Hence the song referenced above.) Made by genuine Trappist monks, in fact. Stop me and ask for a bit.

Server update: [livejournal.com profile] dd_b says it looks like a drive controller failure that took everything down. Recovery looks promising for most of the site, although there's still some uncertainty about my twenty-eight kilophotos. In other news, www.lasfs.org is back on the air, having been relocated to Scott Beckstead's server, and for the time being www.loscon.org goes to the same web page. And I'm going ahead with signing up with Dreamhost to host some websites I'm in charge of, like the Fan Gallery and [livejournal.com profile] animelosangeles. (Which are both sponsored by organizations that have a budget.) Funny thing about Dreamhost -- they're local, about five miles from my house. ([livejournal.com profile] dd_b, I put down "dd-b" in the referral space.)

I am all a quiver as to what to reply to first. Should it be the suggestion that I am part of a mob? Or perhaps an enquiry as what this ribbon thingy is? Or is that tantamount to volunteering for something which, Reductio aside, I was doing so well at? Or perhaps I should enquire as to Kentucky Bourbon Fudge as made by Trappist Monks? It all starts so badly but ends so well I really don't know what to think.

I'm very impressed with that Clan Thingy thing. So to speak. Provided I get to meet the Whisky Thyngyes I could happily do the ribbon thing(y).

Ah, the difficult questions. I will appear on the convention role as Munchkin but, other than Friday's play, I am not obviously in any one place at the one time. Lucy Z. can spot me in a crowded room and my girlfriend is helping her with the Gopher Hole early on the Thursday so we could probably arrange some meeting around there in the first instance. That or a bar which I am distinctly not averse to. ;-)
