Update to the Great Pink Lemonade Plans: I've been asked not to set up the
animelosangeles pop-up canopy tent in the event space.
There are picnic tables outside of the Shelter 6 area, and those are first-come first-served -- so I'll just get there early and set up there. (Unless there's a great outcry for me not to come and bring the lemonade... but one anonymous poster on my LJ does not constitute a landslide of popular opinion.) We're still registering for the gathering, of course. (Even if it weren't a matter of being the right thing to do, there's the practical aspect: paying $10 sure beats dealing with packing a lunch, bringing charcoal and stuff to cook, et cetera, et cetera.)
And no, we're not going to have a big in-your-face convention presence at the picnic. No big signs, we're not bringing the Animé Los Angeles tablecloth to set up a sales table, nothing like that. It's just a matter of the chairman, first vice chair, and a few other convention staffers hanging out in case someone wants to come over and talk to us.
