Progress!

The Cross-Reference Index has been completely overhauled and redesigned to use the new database. If you go to the index, you'll just see A-Z; clicking on one of them brings up a list of the people with names starting with that letter, complete with a count of how many pictures I have of them. The individual index pages per person now are organized by year, and have a sample photo from each year -- or every single photo, if I don't have too many of them.

I think this is the first outward indication that there's something different under the hood now...

Also we've passed the 4,000 mark in names indexed, and I haven't finished adding the new names from this year's crop of notes to the system yet.

As near as I can tell, everyone who I have a first and last name for has been cross-referenced, and should now show as bold in the captions. (There's some kind of problem with single-name crossreferencing, which I have to puzzle out.)

I'm off to see the show at the Ministry of Unknown Science tonight. They're having a new experiment to see how far they push the boundaries of bad taste... should be amusing. (And it's a photo op.) The interesting thing should be to see how long it takes me to get last week's SDSFC meeting photos and tonight's outing online. Hoping to cut it down to just a week this time...
