Update to previous post: I'm bringing fabric and books to Coral Cafe in Burbank tonight, getting there between 9 and 10 pm, to give away.
Almost all of the types of fabric fit into the car, so I won't be posted another post. See my previous post for some details. Lots of cottons, prints and solids. (Including some plaids that
missmea thinks Civil War historical costumers might like.) Some of it is probably mis-sorted; your help is appreciated.
Also there are a bunch of vintage patterns in a box.
Books: I hope to bring Piers Anthony, Jo Clayton, and Andre Norton books with me -- they're all "that's enough of them" authors from my mom's collection -- in addition to the names I posted yesterday.
Everything's being given away. (If you feel you must pay something, I am accepting donations to my mother's Costumers Guild West dues.) Also, I would like a photo of you with what you'd like to take, and/or a note telling her what you're doing with it, so that I can reinforce the message people appreciate what you're giving away to her.

I expect to be carting this stuff up to Burbank every Thursday, by the way, and to have it available on weekends, until the October swap meet that the San Diego Costumer Guild is sponsoring. My hope is that when I take it all down to San Diego, I won't bring any of it back.
2. When you've found something you'd like, fill out one of the "I took ..." slips and leave it with
3. If there's a camera handy (I hope to leave one of mine home for this purpose), please have your picture taken with your loot.
As I mentioned in my post above, the intent is to keep sending my mom positive "you're making lots of people happy" messages, so she feels good about letting go of all this material she's spent a decade or two stockpiling.
