So this was a thing that happened. Paige called me up, saying she was running the Cosplay Showcase at Nisei Week in Los Angeles. They usually try to get a celebrity/guest judge, but they couldn't find anyone, so would I be willing? And she also told me of another crisis she had. She had expected to give away a membership for a particular upcoming convention, but they had backed out. I asked if it would solve the problem if I donated an Animé Los Angeles membership? Fast forward to Sunday afternoon, and we got through the day. A young lady named Julilahrose Diaz made this "Odin" costume, and to my eye it was hands-down the most ambitious thing we'd seen all day.
