Meanwhile on the animelosangeles frontier: We're getting a few nibbles from the Jedi Cloak workshop; we're getting a number of inquiries about the Lightsaber Hilt Workshop; and the HP Hogwarts Scarf knitting workshop could turn out to be a runaway hit. (We're also going to have a certain amount of animé programming, of course.) xkokuux has lined up a number of live music acts, and we're going to have more karaoake programming.

Intereresting note number one: we have over 200 pre-registered members. I expect us to hit 250 by or on Monday. And apparently the cable tv on-demand station "Anime Network" aired a plug for Animé Los Angeles, entirely unexpectedly, on a program or little bit called "Anime Dojo Jam" or something like that. Anyone catch this on their DVR or TIVO?

I want more room at the hotel; we're going to get the Plaza gardens and the Gulfstream rooms (former Balboa Ballroom) on Saturday until 4pm, but that's it; the rest of the weekend we only get the function space in the main hotel. I hope we don't overcrowd the place -- I'd hate to have unhappy people on our hands. (Or worse yet, unhappy people who only came becauee of the tv promo.)

I don't see how we can stay at this hotel next year; it might be possible if we only get 800 this year, but if we exceed that by much we're going to be too cramped next year with reasonable growth. Besides, I want more room for live program items, and a place to hang up art and bid on it...
