Anyone going to Westercon in Seattle? Want to help me throw a party?

I'm going to Westercon this summer. (I'm their Fan Guest of Honor.)

I'd like to host a party during the convention. If I can pull this off, I'm going to need some help on the ground. At a minimum, some help rounding up the groceries would be needed. Better would be if you'll help me get things prepped to make the on-site cooking so much easier...

Does this sound like fun? I'm thinking we serve tacos, encourage people to wear aloha shirts, and take lots of pictures.

We're going, and we're trying to get a hotel room sorted out. We may or may not get a rental car.

We've got a sleeping room outside the block. It's the only way we could get a king bed and all the nights we wanted. We've let the hotel liaison know, but haven't heard back on getting the rate fixed.

We're trying to get a party suite, and I think we could collaborate on a longer reservation if you wanted to sub-lease one night. We haven't been able to get information on what suites in the tower are currently available or when site selection announcement is scheduled (so we're not up against Utah's presumptive victory party), so we're kind of stuck for the moment.

I've been up to my eyeballs between Work, Family, Chicon (I'm the IT/DB Admin for the Hugos) and the SD locals and Westercon keeps getting short shift.

The site selection announcement isn't as big a worry as the hotel room itself.
