Some more random notes.

More LJ people: During baycon I also ran into (and photographed) caprine, cyberangel_, da_pimpmasta, figmo, glittercat13, gramina, gridlore, hellloooonurse, jhulten, kshandra, lokiz_mom, misdev, mrlogic, nolly, scendan, toddashi, wyvernwell, and zyxwvut plus numerous other LJ'ers whose handles I didn't catch, in addition to the ones I mentioned on 28 May and 30 May.

I'm always amazed that the Doughnut Ladies are still able to bring their deepfryer and fry doughnuts in their Baycon room party. They take refrigerated biscuit dough, cut the pieces in half, and fry them in crisco, and offer various sugars (cinnamon sugar, powdered, granulated, brown) and sugar-free equivalents to roll them in. They get a smoking room, open the back balcony doors and set up a fan at the front door to circulate the air through and the flavor out into the halls, and anyone who pops out on the third floor follows their nose and comes to visit.

Remind me the next time I make the 400-mile trip from home to San Jose that the Pacheco Pass (Hwy 152 between Gilroy and Los Banos) is fine in the middle of the night, but a major bottleneck during the day. I should remember to take some other route home again.
