Approaching Anime Los Angeles 12
Jan. 16th, 2016 11:19 amThings we did starting with our very first year: Rectangular, horizontal format badges with a printed label clearly showing your name. (And with room for ribbons, which we included from the very beginning.) Full-size program book. Back cover or last page of the book: ad for our next year's convention, showing dates and location. Printed schedule grids showing the entire program.
This year, for Animé Los Angeles year 12, pre-registration has passed the 4500 mark. (And that doesn't include a few hundred program participants and special guests, industry or press.)
The last time we didn't have our membership cap, our total membership by the end of the convention was 75% above our pregistration total.
Therefore I am now projecting an 8000-plus attendance, in terms of badges-issued. (If you wanted to give everyone at the convention a ribbon, you'll need to bring quite a few.)
