So the big news this year would be the cruise library_lynn and I took for our 15th anniversary. We flew to Chicago, and were supposed to call at six ports: Holland MI, Beaver Island MI, Sault Ste. Marie MI, Mackinac Island MI, Sturgeon Bay WI, and Milwaukee WI, and then return back to Navy Pier in Chicago.

The weather, however, made the lake too rough for that route, so that itinerary went overboard by the time we had dinner on Saturday night in Chicago. Instead, one of the stops was dropped, and we started by going to Sturgeon Bay for two days, running the route in reverse (clockwise instead of counterclockwise).

We thought that was it -- we'd miss Holland, and go everywhere else, although in a different order. But by the end of the week, the storms had moved over to Milwaukee! So we ended up stopping in Holland after all, on our last full day.
